Manchester United have held talks over a potential move for Red Bull Salzburg striker Benjamin Sesko.
The Red Devils are looking at the possibility of having to replace Cristiano Ronaldo on the eve of the new season.
The Portuguese does not want to remain with the club, as he wants to play in the Champions League this season.
According to The Athletic, talks have been going on regarding the 19-year-old Sesko, but that they are in a preliminary stage.
There is no suggestion that Salzburg are eager to sell, as they would have to find a replacement as well.
However, United know they cannot go into the new season without Ronaldo unless they sign another forward.
