Negotiations between between Manchester City and Brighton are continuing regarding left-back Marc Cucurella.
The talented full-back is the key target for manager Pep Guardiola for that position, after losing Oleksandr Zinchenko to Arsenal.
According to Sky Sport Deutschland's Florian Plettenberg, the two clubs are very far apart in valuations at present.
City are offering €35 million, while the Albion are demanding €50 million.
Discussions between the two clubs could go down to the wire this transfer window.
However, the source adds that if City feel they cannot get Brighton to budge, they have alternatives.
They will then show interest in Borna Sosa of VfB Stuttgart.
