Gabriel Jesus has revealed that technical directorEdu played a key role in convincing him to join Arsenal this summer.
Jesus has hit the ground running at Arsenal since his £45m switch from Manchester City, scoring three goals in his opening two pre-season appearances.
"I'm happy to be here," he told Sky Sports. "The way everyone has welcomed me has been amazing. They've made me feel at home and that's why it's started well on the pitch.
"Edu came to talk with me and asked me how I was feeling as a person and then after as a footballer in terms of my future plans. The conversation I had with Edu was amazing because I was so happy with the project.
"Straightaway I said 'yes' as I felt my path was taking me to London. I don't want to be seen as the main man or the superstar here. I just want to play and enjoy my football.
"I come to help and to learn with the guys. There are amazing players here so I've come to join a club where everyone wants to win together."
