Fulham are close to agreeing a deal with Wolfsburg for defender Kevin Mbabu.
The fee under discussion is thought to be worth £6m-£7m.
Personal terms are not expected to be an issue once a club-to-club agreement is finalised.
Fulham also remain in talks with West Ham and Arsenal over the signing of defender Issa Diop and goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
A gap in valuation remains in both deals, with West Ham thought to want £20m for Diop.
Meanwhile, Fulham have an agreement with Shakhtar Donetsk to sign winger Manor Solomon on a one-year deal.
Foreign players in Ukraine can suspend their contracts from June 30 until 2023 due to the war there.
He is due to be announced on August 1 as per FIFA's ruling from last month.
Fulham tried to sign Solomon on a permanent deal earlier this window.
