EPL: He doesn’t fit in Tuchel’s tactics – Hutton advises Boehly on signing forward

Former Premier League star, Alan Hutton has advised the new leadership of Chelsea under the guidance of Todd Boehly on signing Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Hutton believes Ronaldo would not fit into Thomas Tuchel’s tactics at Chelsea, adding that it would be strange to see the Portugal captain in the Blues’ shirt next season.

Ronaldo has been linked with a move to Chelsea this summer after he informed Man United he wants to leave Old Trafford.

Speaking to Football Insider, Hutton said, “Getting that big name through the door, you have just taken control. I think he thinks that will look good. Can Ronaldo go in there and do a job? Of course, he can. We saw it last year with Manchester United, so I think he can. Is it a player Thomas Tuchel would want? I’m not so sure. Does he fit his philosophy? I don’t think so,” said Hutton.”

He added: “You look at (Romelu) Lukaku; he’s been shipped out quick enough. He’s a striker; he scores goals, but he doesn’t play the way the manager wants. He’s not going to run about; he’s not going to close down; Ronaldo’s not going to do that. But I think it would be funny to see him in a Chelsea strip. With everything that’s gone on in the past, I think it would be strange, but I would like to see it, I think.“
