Werder Bremen have announced an agreement in principle to sign Derby County full-back Lee Buchanan.
The Bundesliga club said on Twitter that the 21-year-old would link up with the squad at their Austrian training camp in Zillertal later on Sunday.
Buchanan still needs to pass a medical before completing the move to Germany.
He will become the second EFL player to join Werder this week, with former Sheffield United forward Oliver Burke also having been confirmed as a signing.
Werder return to Germany’s top division this season after finishing second in the 2. Bundesliga in 2021/22.
