Chelsea have made significant inroads towards completing the signing of Sevilla's Jules Kounde.
The French centre-back is a key target for manager Thomas Tuchel since last summer.
The France international was touted for a move to Barcelona, but now appears Chelsea bound.
According to the Evening Standard, the Blues are close to agreeing a fee of around £51 million for the 23-year-old.
Kounde will be joined as a new signing by Kalidou Koulibaly, who has already officially signed for Chelsea from Napoli.
The Blues are looking to replace Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger, who left on free transfers at the end of the season.
