Gleison Bremer is undergoing his Juventus medical at the club's J Medical base ahead of signing a five-year deal.
Bremer will join the club from city rivals Torino for an initial fee of £35m, plus a potential £7.7m in add-ons.
The 25-year-old flew back to Turin on Tuesday night from Torino's training camp in Austria and greeted Juve fans both at Caselle airport and on Wednesday morning before starting his medical checks.
The Brazilian was named the best defender in Serie A last season and was linked with a host of Premier League clubs including Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal.
Inter looked set to have won the race for Bremer after agreeing personal terms, but Juve presented a higher offer to club and player.
