Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag will cast a close eye over Ethan Laird during the first weeks of preseason.
The 20-year-old endured a rollercoaster 2021/22 campaign, spending time on loan with Swansea City and Bournemouth.
Bournemouth possessed a clause that would allow them to keep Laird on loan for another season if they won promotion to the Premier League, which they did.
However, the Manchester Evening News reports that no decision has been made on the Englishman's future.
Ten Hag is keen to give Laird a chance to impress when pre-season officially begins on June 27.
It is unclear if Laird will be included in United's preseason tour of Asia and Australia.
