Liverpool trio in England squad for U19 Euros

Liverpool youngsters Luke Chambers, Harvey Davies and Jarell Quansah have been included by England for the forthcoming UEFA U19 European Championship.

Ian Foster's side will face three games in the group stage in Slovakia, starting against Austria on Sunday (June 19) at the Banska Bystrica Stadium.

Chambers, who has been at the Academy since the age of six, was a regular in the U18s side throughout the 2021-22 campaign, playing at left-back and centre-half, netting nine goals - including a number of penalties.

Quansah, who has been at the club since the age of five himself, has previously captained the U18s and was a regular member of the U23s side last season.

The centre-half twice featured on the bench for Jürgen Klopp's first team in the Premier League and Carabao Cup.

Goalkeeper Davies has also featured on the senior bench while playing for the U18s and U23s respectively, including a memorable display in front of the Kop during a Premier League 2 win over Arsenal at Anfield.
