Agents of Marc Cucurella have flown to England as Manchester City move for the Brighton fullback.
Cucurella is a target for the Premier League champions this summer.
City director of football Txiki Begiristain, who would handle any deal, returned to work last week after a short holiday at the end of the Premier League season.
The Argus says agents for Cucurella have been in England this week.
The defender moved to Brighton a year ago from Getafe and has a deal to 2025.
