Neymar equals Cristiano Ronaldo, Romario’s goals record

Paris Saint-Germain forward, Neymar, on Saturday night, reached the milestone that only two other legendary players, Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Brazil’s Romario, achieved throughout their careers.

Neymar equalled Ronaldo and Romario’s goals record after scoring a goal in his side’s 5-0 victory over Metz in a French Ligue 1 tie.

PSG defeated Metz, thanks to a hat-trick from Kylian Mbappe and a strike each from Neymar and Angel Di Maria.

However, Neymar’s goal against Metz means the Brazilian international has now become the third player in football history to score 100 plus goals with three different professional football clubs.

Neymar scored 136 goals in 225 games for Santos FC, at Barcelona, he scored 105 goals in 186 games. And now, in PSG, he reached his 100th goal in 144 games played for the French champions.

His fellow compatriot Romario got these numbers for PSV Eindhoven, Vasco da Gama and Flamengo.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo has to be the one who got the most impressive feat out of the three.

The Portugal captain achieved this feat at Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus.
