Jesse Lingard posted a cryptic image on social media after being left on the bench during Manchester United's 3-0 win over Brentford on Monday.
The 29-year-old is out of contract in the summer but was denied an Old Trafford send-off, with interim boss Ralf Rangnick choosing to start Nemanja Matic and Juan Mata - two players who are also set to leave the club. Edinson Cavani was also given a farewell appearance.
Lingard's brother posted a message on his Instagram after the match criticising United and on Tuesday, Lingard posted a picture from his early years at the club.
