Haaland could leave Man City after two years as release clause is revealed

Newly-signed Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland could leave the club in 2024 after a release clause in his deal emerged.

Haaland will join the Premier League champions in a deal worth £51m, after only two years at Borussia Dortmund.

His exit has long been expected though, owing to a release clause in his contract that had some of Europe’s biggest clubs circling around him.

City have managed to secure the deal and will land the Norway international who has scored 85 times in 88 games for Dortmund.

However, Haaland, like he did in Germany, has included a release clause in his contract that will see a fee become active in two years time, according to Bild.

They claim that it would take €150m (£128m) to get Haaland out of Manchester in 2024.
