Former Premier League stars, Edwin Van der Sar and Pablo Zabaleta, have hailed Manchester City and Real Madrid following the outcome of both sides’ Champions League semi-final first-leg tie on Tuesday night.
Man City defeated Real Madrid 4-3 at Etihad, thanks to goals from Kevin de Bruyne, Gabriel Jesus, Foden and Bernardo Silva.
Karim Benzema and Vini Jr. did score for Real Madrid.
Reacting, Zabaleta, in a tweet via his Twitter handle, wrote: “What a game of football that was. Incredible stuff #ComeOnCity.
Similarly, Van der Sar tweeted: “What a game tonight @championsleague #MCIRMA.”
Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola’s side will face Real Madrid in the return leg at Santiago Bernabeu next month.
