Aston Villa legend, Gabby Agbonlahor, has said that Arsenal’s Nuno Tavares will not play for the Gunners again this season.

This was following the player’s display against Crystal Palace on Monday night.

The Portuguese youngster was hauled out of the field after just 45 minutes in Arsenal’s 3-0 defeat to Palace on Monday.

The player was also replaced during Arsenal’s FA Cup game against Nottingham Forest in January then he lasted just 34 minutes on the pitch.

Agbonlahor feels the Portuguese has blown his chance of getting more minutes under his belt.

“Tavares, I don’t think he’ll play again,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider.

“He’s been dragged twice at half-time in the last couple of months. He didn’t look very good at all against Palace.

“But Xhaka can’t play left-back. He’ll be targeted by teams for his lack of pace.”
