2022 World Cup: Thibaut Courtois names country to win trophy in Qatar

Real Madrid goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois has tipped his country, Belgium to win the World Cup in Qatar later this year.

The former Chelsea and Atletico Madrid goalkeeper admits that the Qatar World Cup could be the last chance of his country ‘golden generation’ to land silverware.

Belgium is one of the 32 teams that will battle for the football’s most coveted trophy in Qatar in November.

They are drawn in Group F, alongside Canada, Morocco and Croatia, a group they have been tipped to come out top by pundits.

“Our objective is to fight for that title,” he told El Capitan.

“We know we have a good team, but we are talking about the World Cup, where the best of the best are going, and there are many teams with the same objective.

“Whatever happens will happen but, it’s true, Belgium has one of the best teams in its history.”
