You’d be daft not to appoint him – Man Utd told best manager to succeed Rangnick

Former West Brom attacker, Kevin Phillips has told Manchester United that Chelsea’s Thomas Tuchel would be the best coach to manage the club.

Man United temporarily put Ralf Rangnick in charge of the team following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last November.

And Philips believes Man United would be daft not to appoint Tuchel if they have the opportunity to do so.

“I think there are so many options out there for Man United, whoever they decide to go for. With the situation at Chelsea now, if Manchester United have any opportunity or any sniff that they could get Tuchel in at Old Trafford, if there’s a chance, I think you would be daft not to do it,” Phillips told Football Insider’s Dylan Childs.

“With his pedigree, with what he’s done and achieved, I think it would be a really good fit. Maybe they can take a slight advantage with what is going on at Chelsea.

“He’s certainly got to be on their list. Man United are one of the biggest clubs in the world. I’ve always said their next appointment has to be right. It has to be right to take them on their next journey to the next level, to start competing,” he added
