What’ll happen to Super Eagles in second leg – Black Stars’ coach, Addo

Head coach of the Ghana national team, Otto Addo has said that ‘pressure’ will be on the Super Eagles of Nigeria when both teams clash in the 2022 FIFA World Cup second leg playoff at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, on Tuesday.

Addo said this during his post-match press conference after Ghana’s goalless draw against Nigeria in the World Cup first leg playoff at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Friday night.

He also said that the Nigerian national team has high-quality players.

DAILY POST reports that Addo watched as the Super Eagles held Ghana 0-0 in front of their home fans.

Speaking after the match, Addo said: “The result doesn’t change anything because we wanted to win and I think the Nigerians saw we can play as well.

“They are not up and we, down, even though the AFCON was not good, I think we matched them up and got respect.

“They have high-quality players, but I do not see them in the favour, the pressure will be on them a lot [in the second leg in Abuja]. Away goals can hurt a lot.”

The winner over the two legs will qualify for the World Cup in Qatar later this year.
