Paris Saint-Germain manager, Mauricio Pochettino has criticized his players following their Champions League 3-1 defeat against Real Madrid on Wednesday night in Spain.
Pochettino said his players were exposed during the encounter, adding that they didn’t manage their emotions well.
A hat-trick from Karim Benzema ensured Real Madrid defeated PSG at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Kylian Mbappe did score for PSG, but the French Ligue 1 giants were unable to progress to the next round after losing 3-2 on aggregate.
Speaking after the game, Pochettino said at his post-match press conference: “We didn’t manage our emotions well.
“We left ourselves exposed. We leave with great pain and disappointment because we didn’t score the goals to reflect our superiority over the two games.”
