Former Chelsea midfielder, Joe Cole named N’Golo Kante as the Premier League’s most-influential midfielder over the past decade.
Kante delighted the fans with his man-of-the-match performance in Chelsea’s 2-0 win over French champions Lille on Tuesday night.
Kai Havertz and Christian Pulisic scored one each to give the home side the victory at Stamford Bridge.
And the France international created the second goal for Pulisic and Cole feels no other midfielder has performed better than Kante in the domestic league in the last 10 years.
“I don’t think there’s a midfielder as influential as him, certainly in the last 10 years, in our league, an all-around midfielder,” Cole said according to Metro.
“What he did at Leicester and what he’s done at Chelsea… everything he does.
“When he plays well, you win.”
