You’ll not win any trophies at Old Trafford – Danny Mills tells Man United-bound Ruben Neves

Former Manchester City right-back, Danny Mills has told Wolves midfielder, Ruben Neves that signing for Manchester United would not guarantee him winning trophies.

Manchester United lead the race to sign creative midfielder this January, according to talkSPORT.

Mills said that making the move to United would not enhance the 24-year-old’s chances of winning trophies.

The Portugal international still has two years remaining on his deal and Wolves are said to be demanding at least £50million for the midfield maestro.

Wolves defeated Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford on Monday and are now just three points below the Red Devils in the Premier League.

And Mills says there are more reasons why Neves should remain in the Midlands.

“Wolves have got as much of a chance at winning the Carabao Cup or the FA Cup,” the former England defender told talkSPORT.

“Manchester United aren’t going to win the Premier League, and they’re not going to win the Champions League.

“Wolves might get into the Europa League, and they’ll have a better chance of winning the Europa League than Manchester United will have at winning the Champions League.”
