We had Fernandes, Ronaldo’s situations – Rangnick highlights things Man Utd need

Manchester United interim manager, Ralf Rangnick has highlighted two things his team needs following their Premier League 1-0 defeat to Wolves on Monday night.

Rangnick, who said Man United had Bruno Fernandes and Cristiano Ronaldo’s situations during his side’s defeat to Wolves, said the Red Devils need to balance the team defensively and offensively.

The German said this during his post-match press conference after Wolves defeated Man United at Old Trafford.

Rangnick’s side was defeated by Wolves following a second-half goal from Joao Moutinho.

The defeat to Wolves was Rangnick’s first since taking charge of Man United last year.

“We missed out on scoring the first goal with Bruno [Fernandes], it would have been possible to get the important first goal,” Rangnick was quoted by Man United’s official website as saying.

“We had two situations, one with Bruno and the other with Cristiano [Ronaldo], who was unfortunately offside. In general, we just need to find a better balance within our team, defensively and offensively.”

Man United’s next match is against Aston Villa in the FA Cup third round on January 10.
