Nigeria vs Sudan: Alex Iwobi talks tough, issues warning to Super Eagles

Super Eagles star, Alex Iwobi has said that Nigeria will give the same desire they showed in their game against Egypt when they face Sudan at the ongoing 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, tie on Saturday evening.

Iwobi also warned Augustine Eguavoen’s men not to be complacent when they clash with Sudan today.

Nigeria head to the game after beating Egypt 1-0, while Sudan drew with Guinea-Bissau.

Speaking to NFF TV, the Everton star said: “Personally, I am always ready no matter what game it is. Obviously, it is a big competition and we have already made our mark in the first game, but we can’t be complacent.

“We are going to give the same desire that we showed in the first game and hopefully get the result we need.

“The team is really psyched up, especially after that first performance, but we are not going to rest on our laurels, so we are going to keep going.

“We are hungry and we want to prove a point in this tournament.

“The only assurance I’m going to give is that we are going to give one hundred per cent and fight for our country.”

The kick-off time for Nigeria vs Sudan is 5 pm.
