Man Utd Ready to Appoint Manager to take Over from Rangnick

Manchester United could appoint a new permanent manager before the end of the season, MEN reports.

The Red Devils are still looking for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s replacement, although Ralf Rangnick has been put in temporary charge of the team.

Rangnick’s contract as interim boss runs until the end of the season.

Once a new full-time boss is found, the German will move into a consultancy role at Old Trafford alongside director John Murtough and Richard Arnold.

United are now looking to secure their next manager before the summer transfer window opens July 1.

The club are understood to believe “the sooner the better” with hiring a new coach after witnessing Tottenham’s long-winded attempt to replace Jose Mourinho last year.

PSG’s Mauricio Pochettino and Ajax’s Erik ten Hag remain the frontrunners for the job, while Leicester’s Brendan Rodgers is believed to be under consideration.
