Man United top star told to leave club immediately after Rangnick’s arrival

Manchester United attacking midfield, Jesse Lingard has been told to leave the club and join Premier League rivals, West Ham.

Former Premier League star, Glen Johnson wants the England player to leave United without further delay.

Manchester United confirmed the arrival of Ralf Rangnick as their new interim boss on Monday, meaning that the player could wait and see how things turn out under the new manager, having not started a domedtic league or Champions League match this season.

The player decided to stay at Man United over the summer and fight for his place in the side turning down a move to West Ham.

Having not been able to realise his dream of establishing himself at Old Trafford, Lingard is now being heavily linked with a permanent transfer away from the club.

David Moyes’ West Ham and Eddie Howe’s Newcastle have both expressed interest in signing the England international and a move looks imminent in January.

“At West Ham we saw how much Jesse enjoyed his football and the performances he got back to,” Metro quoted Johnson

“For £10million, I’m not being funny, who can you usually get for that price? You can’t get much of a player nowadays.

“I think he should go to West Ham, he clearly enjoyed it there and he knows what the club thought of him. Surely he’d want it all back.

“West Ham and Newcastle are in totally different positions at the moment but that could all quickly change with the plans Newcastle have got.

“But right now, with Newcastle, he doesn’t know what he’s walking into. Sometimes the grass ain’t greener.”

Hopefully, Lingard would be favoured by the managerial changes at Old Trafford and find more playing time under Rangnick.

From all indications, caretaker manager, Michael Carrick, will still be in charge of the team when they take on Arsenal on Thursday evening as Rangnick tries to settle his visa issues.
