Guardiola names Player his Team Need after 7-0 Win Over Leeds United

Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, has identified playmaker, Kevin De Bruyne, as the player his team ‘needs’ following their Premier League 7-0 win over Leeds United on Tuesday night.

Guardiola described De Bruyne as a ‘phenomenal’ player, adding that the Belgium international is so important for Man City.

Man City defeated Marcelo’s Bielsa side at Etihad, thanks to two goals from De Bruyne and a strike each from Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, Riyad Mahrez, John Stones and Nathan Ake.

“We are solid in behind, we concede few chances. The team is performing very well,” Guardiola said at his post-match press conference.

“The last two or three days in training, I said this guy [Kevin de Bruyne] is humble enough to accept he has to work.

“He’s phenomenal. We need him. He’s so important for us.”

The result against Leeds means Man City are on top of the Premier League table with 41 points from 17 games.
