Solskjaer summons Ronaldo, Maguire, Fernandes, others for Crisis talk

Under fire Manchester United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has held crisis talks with some of the club’s senior players in a bid to salvage his job.

The meeting was held at the club’s training ground on Thursday morning, according to Daily Mail.

The meeting had in attendance, Solskjaer, captain Harry Maguire, Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes, Nemanja Matic, Luke Shaw and Victor Lindelof.

The Norwegian called for the meeting to discuss and to get his senior players’ views on how to turn the club’s season around.

The coach also inform the players of his new tactics which is changing from a back four to a back three in recent matches.

The Red Devils are not in the best of forms and have won just three of their last 10 matches in all competitions.

The poor run of form has seen them suffering embarrassing defeats in the hands of arch rivals; 5-0 to Liverpool, 2-0 to Manchester City, 4-2 to Leicester City, as well as a 1-0 loss against Aston Villa.

Their next game is a trip to struggling Watford on Saturday in a desperate need of a win after dropping to sixth on the Premier League table and nine points adrift of leaders Chelsea.

The Norwegian manager is under intense pressure and is said to be trying everything he can to turn things around at Old Trafford.
