The £60million-rated midfielder is also a Real Madrid target. Defensive midfielder Ndidi, 24, is one of the best in his position in the Premier League.
And it's an area which United are desperate to improve.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, are eager to bring in younger midfield options to cover the likes of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.
