Manchester United star told to leave Old Trafford immediately

Former Manchester United goalkeeper, Mark Bosnich has told Dean Henderson to leave the club immediately amid interest from Newcastle United.

England goalkeeper, Henderson, has made just one appearance for Manchester United this season, and that was in the club’s Carabao Cup third round against West Ham in September.

Henderson was about taking the club’s number one spot at Manchester United until COVID-19 struck and presented an opportunity for fellow goalkeeper David de Gea to cement his No.1 spot at Old Trafford.

The 24-year-old wants to be part of the England team for next year’s World Cup in Qatar but will need to play regularly to achieve that and it currently seems impossible for him at Man United.

Newcastle are interested in the goalkeeper, but United would be reluctant to sell in the January transfer window.

And former United and Aston Villa goalkeeper Bosnich, wants Henderson to sign for Newcastle in order to kickstart his career.

“I think he should go. He’s at the stage of his career where he needs to be playing regular football,” Bosnich told talkSPORT Breakfast.

“He’ll know that as well. I understand that at the start of the season, him having a go in pre-season to see how things plan out.

“De Gea has been excellent and there’s no doubt about it, with the exception of the second goal you have to say against Manchester City which I think he’ll know that he should have saved.

“But I think from Dean Henderson’s point of view, he needs to start looking after Dean Henderson.

“Newcastle are a club who are on the go and on the move but they are also in a perilous position right now.

“New manager. It’s important to get your spin right and the goalkeeper is the integral part of that.

“He should go and should go as soon as he possibly can.”
