Manchester United midfielder takes final decision to leave club in January

Manchester United midfielder, Donny van de Beek, will not be staying at the club after the Dutchman has decided to leave in the January transfer window.

De Beek joined United from Ajax in 2020 for a fee of £34million after putting up a five star performance with the Dutch side in the Champions League.

He has started just four Premier League matches for the Red Devils and United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has repeatedly insisted that the midfielder has a future at the club.

But the manager has failed to come through with his promise of allowing the midfielder play games this term.

The player has, however remained professional at the club but is now worried about his international future as the 2022 World Cup approaches.

Ace journalist, Fabrizio Romano, said Van de Beek has taken the decision to leave the club in January and is already looking at offers elsewhere.

“Donny van de Beek’s situation is so clear. He loves the club and he’s still super professional in training, doing his best for Man Utd – but if the situation remains the same, he will leave Manchester United in January. #MUFC.”

Real Madrid had been the favourites to sign the player before the pandemic hit.
