I’m already there in Manchester – Rudi Garcia on becoming Man United next manager

Former Lyon head coach, Rudi Garcia has insisted that he is already there in Manchester after holding talks with Manchester United to become their next interim manager.

Man United had approached Garcia about the interim role ahead of their 2-0 victory against Villarreal in the Champions League on Tuesday night in Spain.

The Red Devils held talks with the 57-year-old to take over until the end of the season.

Recall that Manchester United recently sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as its manager and put Michael Carrick to temporarily take charge of the first team.

Speaking on the development, Garcia told Canal Plus: ‘I’m already there in Manchester [laughs].

“I’m here to comment on a very good game between Manchester City and PSG.

“In all seriousness, I don’t usually comment on rumours in my career. I won’t say anything about it.

“Manchester United are one of the biggest clubs in the world. I neither confirm nor deny anything.”

Garcia took over a Lyon side that was 14th in the French Ligue 1 and steered them to the UEFA Champions League semi-final and the French cup final.

His side received praise for knocking out Manchester City and Juventus en route to the semi-final.
