Solskjaer reveals Alex Ferguson met with Ronaldo after 5-0 defeat to Liverpool

Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has confirmed Cristiano Ronaldo met with Sir Alex Ferguson when the Scot visited the club’s training ground following the 5-0 defeat to Liverpool last weekend.

Ferguson arrived at Carrington two days after the game to be fitted for a suit.

The former manager spoke briefly with Solskjaer and Ronaldo.

Solskjaer explained Ferguson’s visit during his Friday press conference, ahead of United’s clash with Tottenham.

The 48-year-old was asked whether he can survive being sacked and if he spoke to Ferguson, who he played under.

“Yes, on both accounts, if that’s short and sweet. Joking apart, we had a commercial day,” Solskjaer said.

“Sir Alex came for some commercial stuff. We spoke for a brief moment because he was in there with Cristiano.”
