Solskjaer names Man Utd’s biggest title rivals this season

Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has rated Chelsea as their biggest rivals for the title this season, ahead of Liverpool and Manchester City, according to the UK Sun.

Solskjaer is desperate to lead the Red Devils to league success for the first time since 2011.

In a bid to win the league, United have added Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane this summer.

Solskjaer’s men finished second last campaign, 12 points behind champions, City.

So far, in the 2021/2022 season, they have taken seven points from their first three games.

Even at this early stage, it appears as though United, City, Chelsea and Liverpool, are a level above the rest.

But Solskjaer privately fears Thomas Tuchel’s team more than City and Liverpool.

Under Tuchel, the Blues reached the FA Cup final and won the Champions League.

Chelsea have bolstered their squad with Romelu Lukaku and secured a loan deal for Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez.

Solskjaer is confident his United team can end the wait for a title, but is wary of Chelsea.
