LaLiga: Koeman gives reasons why Barcelona drew 1-1 with Granada

Barcelona manager, Ronald Koeman, has accused Granada of time wasting following their 1-1 draw on Monday night.

Koeman also admitted his players didn’t find space to play their style of football.

Barca needed a late header from Ronald Araujo to salvage a draw at the Camp Nou, after the visitors took the lead in the second minute through Domingos Duarte.

The hosts went on to dominate the game, but could not find any end product.

With defeat looming for Koeman’s side, Gavi chipped the ball back in front of goal where Araujo rose and met it.

“They [Granada] wasted time from as soon as they scored.

“There wasn’t a lot of space to play short, delicate balls as they defended with every man back.

“There was space on the wings to cross, and we had tall players in there and that’s what we did. At least we managed to get a draw, even if we have dropped two points,” Koeman said.

The result leaves Barcelona in seventh place with eight points, while Granada remain in 17th place on three points.
