David Luiz is set to sign for Flamengo after leaving Arsenal as a free agent.
According to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, the defender has reached a verbal agreement with the Brazilian club.
Luiz will sign a deal with Flamengo, which will keep him at the club until December 2022.
Romano tweeted: “David Luiz to Flamengo, verbal agreement reached and here we go!
“The Brazilian centre back has accepted the contract proposal until December 2022. He’s now set to join Mengão.
“Paperworks time now. Mission: winning the league also in Brazil.”
Luiz played two years at Arsenal after joining from Chelsea, winning the FA Cup and Community Shield.
