You’ll continue to lose matches – Bacary Sagna slams Arsenal after 2-0 loss to Chelsea

Former Arsenal star, Bacary Sagna, has slammed the club’s board over their recruitment strategy.

Sagna took aim at Gunner’s hierarchy over their summer transfers, adding that he feels the manager, Mikel Arteta’s side “are going to lose the majority of the time.”

Arsenal have lost the two openings games of the new Premier League season to Brentford was followed up with a 2-0 loss at home to Chelsea on Sunday.

This is despite the Gunners spending more than any other club in the EPL so far this summer with the signing of Ben White for £50 million, Martin Odegaard for £34m, goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale joined for £30m, Albert Sambi Lokonga cost £17.2m, while Nuno Tavares was brought in for £6.8m.

But Sagna, who played over 284 games for the Gunners during his time at the club, accused the Emirates Stadium landlords of failing to bring in players with experience, adding that the team have lost their identity.

“When I watch Arsenal now, honestly, I know that they are going to lose the majority of the time, that something is going to happen, that we are going to concede a stupid goal,” Sagna told RMC Sport.

“How can you spend €150 million and only bring in young players?
