Jigawa Golden Stars sack manager, assistant

The Jigawa Golden Stars steering committee has sacked its Chief Coach, Auwal Bade, and Gilbert Opona, Technical Adviser of the team.

This was contained in a press statement signed by the Club Secretary, Jafaru Muhammad, and issued to DAILY POST.

He said the dismissal of the chief coach and his assistant takes effect immediately.

DAILY POST learnt that their disengagement may not be unconnected with performance of the team in the 2020/2021 premier league campaign.

The Badaru Boys had suffered a great loss in the home and away match which led to their relegation.

Jafaru Mohammed said the management of the team has approved the appointment of Ado Suleiman as chief coach and Yakubu Umar Aleka as his assistant.
