Guardiola rates Jack Grealish’s performance after Man City thrash Norwich 5-0

Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, was delighted with attacking midfielder Jack Grealish’s display against Norwich City on Saturday.

Grealish scored the second goal in Man City’s Premier League 5-0 win against Norwich at Etihad.

The England international joined Man City for £100 million from Aston Villa this summer.

The 25-year-old joined Aymeric Laporte, Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez on the scoresheet, while Norwich goalkeeper Tim Krul also scored an unfortunate own goal during the encounter.

And Guardiola was pleased with the impact of Grealish in his first appearance in front of Man City fans, even though he suggested there was plenty more to come from the player.

“Yeah, first step. The first victory for him in our club,” Guardiola said at his post-match press conference when asked about Grealish’s performance.

“I hope it will be the first of many and yeah, goal and he was aggressive with the ball. It was good.

“Yeah, for sure [he will score more spectacular goals]. But yeah, we tried to help him to score, yeah.”
