FIFA has reacted to the news that Lionel Messi will be leaving Barcelona this summer.
The world football governing body posted an eight-minute clip of Messi’s highlights on Twitter.
It was accompanied by the text: “Has one man ever done more for one club?
“Leo, what you did for Barça was utterly mind-blowing.”
The 34-year-old leaves the LaLiga giants, after failing to sign a new five-year contract.
Messi, who first joined Barcelona’s Academy in 2000, will now represent another team for the 2021/2022 season.
He has already been heavily linked with Paris Saint-Germain, where he could reunite with Neymar.
