Onuachu Eager To End Super Eagles Goal Drought

Super Eagles Forward Paul Onuachu said he’s working hard to end his goal drought in the National team.

Onuachu has scored just once for Nigeria, during an international friendly against the Pharaohs of Egypt back in 2019.

The Forward has since gone eight games without scoring, a run that led to his initial exclusion from the main Super Eagles squad for the Afcon qualifiers.

Speaking on the barren runs in front of goal, Onuachu who has bang in 27 goals for his club KRC Genk of Belgium this season, said he definitely want to score for his country, but it all depends on certain things.

“Of course as a striker you always need to score when you’re called upon and when I have the chance to play, definitely in my head I want to score, but if it doesn’t come, I’ll keep working hard for the next one,” He told brila.net

Onuachu and his mates will depart Nigeria for Port Novo today ahead of the game with the Squirrels billed for Saturday.
