Lukaku Breaks Silence on ‘God’ Celebration Aimed at Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Inter Milan striker, Romelu Lukaku, has finally reacted to his ‘God’ celebration reportedly ‘aimed’ at AC Milan’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Recall that tensions between Lukaku and Ibrahimovic have raged since a clash in last month’s Coppa Italia, during which both strikers nearly came to blows.

Inter Milan thrashed their rivals AC Milan 3-0 in a Serie A derby clash at San Siro last Sunday and Lukaku scored their third goal.

The 27-year-old ran to the corner flag and shouted: “Dio, diooo,” which means God, in reference to Ibrahimovic, who has frequently referred to himself as a ‘God’ throughout his illustrious career.

However, the Belgium international has now addressed the drama in a Twitter Q&A with fans on Tuesday night.

Lukaku, who remained quiet on what was actually said, admitted that he might have got a little carried away during the derby clash.

When asked by a fan, @SheikhSadio, “What did u say after scoring the 3rd goal vs Milan #askLukaku.”

Lukaku replied, “Man, I talked a lot of shit, adrenaline, I guess.”

Meanwhile, reacting to AC Milan’s defeat against Inter Milan, Ibrahimovic told his teammates that ‘there are still many games to go,’ adding that they have to raise their heads to go stronger.
