UD Ibiza 1-2 Barcelona, Griezmann Strikes Twice In A Narrow Win





Antoine Griezmann's brace spares Quique Setien's blushes after the Frenchman scores stoppage-time winner to see Catalan giants return from behind to advance within the Copa del Rey.

Antoine Griezmann ensured that there was no giant-killing within the Copa del Rey by marking a devastating stoppage-time winner as Barcelona had to come back from behind to beat Ibiza-Eivissa.

The hosts, who play within the third-tier of Spanish soccer, took a shock lead when Javier Perez Mateo's shot took a deflection off pep Caballe and past Neto within the Barcelona net.

It could've got a whole lot worse for the LaLiga leaders simply 9 minutes after Caballe but were lucky to see a second goal dominated out for a foul.

Barcelona extremely struggled to threaten the hosts' goal within the half and did not even register an attempt on goal during a woeful offensive show.




Five minutes before the break, Ibiza should've been 2-0 up going into half-time when Rai Nascimento Oliveira's effort smacked the bottom of the post before Angel Rodado saw his follow-up shot tipped over by Neto.

While Quique Setien's men lacked any innovative going forward, they did get an equaliser through Antoine Griezmann, who managed to beat the offside trap before rolling his shot sedately into the net.




It was Griezmann who would strike once more within the ninety fifth minute to send Barcelona through and avoid an embarrassing giant-killing within the Copa del Rey.
