"I Want To Stay Here" - Man City Boss Pep Guardiola

0
Coach Pep Guardiola has insisted that he is happy at Manchester City after rumours of his exit being close. Guardiola has seen his team fall nine points behind Liverpool in the Premier League Title race this season which led to different reports.

However, ahead of Saturday's Match against Chelsea, Pep has once again made it clear he is not leaving Manchester City even if Liverpool win the Premier League.

“Why should people think I’m not happy here? Because we lost at Anfield or I’ve lost three games this season?” he said.

“If people say do I want to stay? I want to stay, I don’t have any reasons to move from here. I am incredibly satisfied to work with this club, these players.

“And if the people think I am going to resign or be sacked for these results and for being nine points behind then they don’t know me.”

Guardiola admitted City will not give up this season, if they fall short of Liverpool he would relish the chance to chase them down next season.

He explained: “I like to be in this challenge, I love to be in this position. And if the club wants [me] next season I want to be here100 per cent.

“I am here because I win. If I don’t win I’m in trouble I know that but I’m incredibly satisfied to work in this city and this club and I want to help this club to get better.

“I would like to stay longer (than this season). If the club wants, I will stay.”

Guardiola has been boosted by the return of Ederson and David Silva for the visit of Frank Lampard’s side but he will be without Bernardo Silva is serving a one-match ban for his controversial tweet to teammate Benjamin Mendy.
