2022 World Cup: Super Eagles To Know Opponents January 7



The Super Eagles will know their group foes for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on January 7, 2020.
The draw ceremony will take place at the Confederation of African Football headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.

Teams ranked from 1-26 and 14 first-round winners will be divided into 10 groups of four teams to play home-and-away round-robin matches.

The 10 group winners will advance to the third round where they will play home-and-away over two legs. The five winners will qualify for the World Cup.

Meanwhile, the first round of qualifying matches for the 2022 World Cup will be played between March 23 and 31, 2020 while match-day two is expected to hold from June 1 to 9.

Match-day three fixtures will hold from March 22 to 30 in 2021, while no dates have been scheduled for match-day four.

Dates for match-day five fixtures have been slated for August 30 to September 7, 2021, just as games for match-day six are scheduled for October 4 to 12.
