Atletico Madrid have completed the signing of Real Madrid midfielder Marcos Llorente for a fee that could rise to around £35million.
The 24-year-old moves across the Spanish capital having been at Real since the age of 13.
After rising through the club's Castilla youth setup he made his senior debut in October 2015, before joining Alaves on loan for the 2016/17 campaign.
He played 39 times for Real in all, including 16 appearances in all competitions in the 2018/19 camapign.
"Real Madrid CF and Atletico de Madrid have agreed on the transfer of player Marcos Llorente," read an official Real statement.
"Real Madrid wishes you good luck in your new stage."
Atletico's statement went even further, and praised the qualities of their new man, who becomes the first player to transfer directly from Real to Atletico since Jose Manuel Jurado in 2006.
"His excellent work as both midfielder and defender features a notorious capacity to anticipate and an intuition to intercept his rivals’ passes.
