Ronaldo has been accused of raping model Kathryn Mayorga in a Las Vegas hotel room in 2009, and state police have since confirmed they have reopened the investigation.
The 33-year-old, who previously played for Real Madrid and Manchester United, has denied the allegations and insists his conscience is ‘clear’, while current club Juve publically and controversially backed their £88m signing.
‘I’ve known Cristiano for three months now,’ the Italian explained. ‘And for over 15 years of his career he has shown to be a great professional both on and off the pitch.
‘He is ready to return to action tomorrow.’

He did, however, hint that Ronaldo could be rested, adding: ‘Tomorrow I could go with a front three of Mario Mandzukic, Paulo Dybala and Ronaldo, or one of them could be rested.’
While Juventus are resolutely defending Ronaldo, Nike say they are ‘deeply concerned by the disturbing allegations’ surrounding one of their biggest stars.
Ronaldo was also omitted from the latest Portugal national team squad for upcoming October internationals – though it is claimed he asked to be left out so he can continue adapting to his new life in Italy.
