Cesc Fabregas is keen to stay at Chelsea but admitted talks over extending his time at Stamford Bridge are yet to have begun.
The Spaniard’s current deal expires at the end of this season, and the former Arsenal and Barcelona man is yet to play in the Premier League under Maurizio Sarri.
Chelsea have a policy of only handing out one-year extensions to
players aged 30 or older and the 31-year-old faces a nervous wait to see
if Sarri wants to keep him around at the club.
With AC Milan among the sides linked with his signature, Fabregas’
future may well lie elsewhere – but he’s keen to stick around in west
London.
