Mikael Sylvester makes troubling prediction about Arsenal’s 2021-22 season

Former Arsenal defender, Mikael Sylvester has made troubling predictions for the club this season.

According to the Frenchman, Arsenal may not make the top-six in the Premier League this season.

He, however, tipped £50m summer signing, Ben White to come good and ‘bring quality’ to the Gunners.

Silvestre pointed out that Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta will be ‘worried’ after seeing a number of Premier League rivals strengthen their squads with big-money signings.

Manchester United have brought in Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane for more than £100m while Chelsea broke their transfer record with £97.5m signing of Romelu Lukaku.

However, Mikel Arteta’s side have been shy in the market, spending £50m on England defender Ben White and around £60m on incoming signings Martin Odegaard and Aaron Ramsdale.

“When a team like Arsenal sees the top teams spending a lot of money and bringing in quality players, it will worry them quite a bit,” Silvestre told MyBettingSites.

“This has made it extremely hard for Mikel Arteta and his team to break into the top six this season.

“That must be their main aim this season – to break back into the top six.”
