Christian Eriksen tells Inter Milan team-mates When he will Resume Playing

Inter Milan midfielder, Christian Eriksen, has told his teammates that he is expecting to return to action in “four or five months”, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

The 29-year-old collapsed on the pitch after suffering a cardiac arrest during Denmark’s Euro 2020 opener against Finland in June.

However, Eriksen has since made a miraculous recovery, and has had an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) device fitted.

On Wednesday, he returned to Inter’s training ground for the first time since the incident.

Eriksen held back the tears as he admitted to his colleagues that he “had been lucky”.

He expressed his confidence that he can make a return to football within five months at the latest.

Despite Eriksen’s wishes, there is some debate in Italy over whether or not he will be permitted to play in Serie A without first removing his ICD.
